Mark Stross is a technologist, Humanologist, author, speaker, and technology advisor whose career has been defined by one constant: curiosity about what becomes possible when humans push technology beyond its existing limits.
For more than 25 years, Mark has designed enterprise software, digital ecosystems, interactive media, and emerging technology solutions. As Chief Technology Officer of ANC, he helped lead the development of award-winning software platforms and immersive digital experiences deployed across major sports, entertainment, transportation, and commercial environments.
Today, Mark serves as Chief Technology Advisor for The Ranch TX, where he provides strategic guidance across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, data systems, communications, and next-generation technologies supporting training, operational readiness, and mission effectiveness.
But after a career spent helping technology become faster and more capable, Mark’s attention has increasingly turned toward the other side of the equation:

Born in London and educated in Europe and the United States, Mark’s fascination with technology began long before personal computing became personal.
That curiosity eventually led him through interactive media, television, digital communications, enterprise software, and the emerging world of large-scale digital displays.
Mark founded multiple technology ventures and experimented with interactive media long before today’s connected digital environments became commonplace. When he joined ANC in 1999, that instinct for experimentation found a much larger canvas.
Over the following decades, Mark helped bridge sophisticated software with physical environments, contributing to digital experiences across major stadiums, arenas, transportation hubs, and commercial destinations—including ANC’s work at Westfield World Trade Center.
Technology wasn’t simply something Mark studied.
He built with it, broke things with it, learned from it, and spent decades discovering what happens when ambitious ideas collide with the real world.
